Keeping the hair dryer on the dressing, he raised his finger and gave a warning.

"باس وہ وکیل جو کیس ہینڈل کر رہی ہے وہ اورہان کی منکوحہ ہے۔"

"کون۔۔۔ مہرماہ سرفراز؟"

دل کی دنیا تہس نہس ہو رہی تھی۔

"ہاں باس لیکن آپ کو کیسے پتا؟ ویسے یہ لڑکی ہے تو بہت حسین۔ میرا بس چلے تو اس کو اغوا کر لوں۔ ویسے کیا کہتے ہیں آپ جب وکیل ہی نہیں ہو گی تو ضمانت کون کروائے گا اور کیس کون لڑے گا۔"

نہایت خباثت سے یہ الفاظ ادا کیے اور ان الفاظ کے ادا ہونے کی دیر تھی کہ عریش کے ہاتھ کا ایک زوردار تھپڑ اس کے بائیں گال پر پڑا۔

"ایک لفظ بھی اور ادا ہوا تمہاری زبان سے تو یہیں اسی وقت زندہ زمین میں گاڑ دوں گا۔"

مانا کہ وہ عورتوں کے بارے میں غلط گفتگو نہیں سنتا تھا مگر آج اس لڑکی کے بارے میں ان الفاظ پہ عریش کا آگ بگولا ہونا فہد کے لیے حیران کن تھا۔

"اچھا اچھا اب میں کچھ نہیں بولوں گا۔"

ساتھ ہی ہاتھ سے ہونٹوں پر زپ بند کرنے کا اشارہ کیا۔ جبکہ دل ہی دل میں اس کے پیچھے چھپی کہانی کو جاننے کی خواہش پیدا ہوئی۔

"اب مجھے پوری تفصیل بتاو۔"

اس کا گریبان چھوڑتا وہ صوفہ پر جا کر بیٹھ گیا۔

"مہرماہ آپ ایسا کیسے کر سکتی ہیں مجھے تو یہی محسوس ہوا تھا کہ اب آپ دوبارہ اورہان کی شکل بھی دیکھنا نہیں چاہیں گی۔ مگر آپ تو اس کا کیس بھی لڑنے کو تیار ہیں۔آخر ایسا کیا ہے جو آپ کو اس پر اتنا اعتماد ہے۔ اس دو دن کے رشتے پر آپ اتنا بھروسہ کیسے کر سکتی ہیں؟"

وہ حیرت اور صدمے کا شکار تھا۔ یہ جانے بغیر کہ جو دل میں سما جائے وہ دل سے جدا نہیں ہوتے پھر چاہے حالات کیسے بھی کیوں نہ ہو جائیں ۔۔۔۔
